Description
This automatic BAUMANN jogging system is equipped with the highest possible degree of automation, allowing the economic processing of high and very high cutting volumes.
The sheets are placed as one complete pile within the BASA. The system destacks partial layers from the pile, counts the sheets and forms layers. After the counting- and jogging-process the air is pressed out of the layer, which can then be restacked by the BAUMANN unloader. A sheet of cardboard can be put onto the jogging-table, before the destacking process of the next layer is started.
After the layer has been restacked by the unloader either an air-board, a chip or a sheet of cardboard can be put on top of the pile. The completed pile can be stored and is then transferred to the subsequent cutting-system.
Thanks to the storage as a pile, air, which had been caught between the sheets due to the printing process, can evaporate, guaranteeing accurate cutting-results.
The BAUMANN automatic jogging system BASA is highly appropriate for label-production as well as for finishing companies, with important differences between cutting and jogging-times.

BASA automatically destacks, jogs and transfers printed sheets to the subsequent finishing process. Partial layers are destacked from the pile, fanned out and aerated. One complete layer is built from the partial layers on top of the jogging table and is aligned precisely. BASA is an automatic jogging system, which can process very high cutting volumes without any operator’s assistance while providing perfect jogging results. All parameters, which influence the jogging process, can immediately be adjusted to suit the current material or product. An intelligent program management system guarantees very short set-up times.
After the jogging process, the air-expulsion roller presses out the remaining air, guaranteeing very accurate cutting results. In addition to the automatic mode, BASA can also be operated in a semi-automatic mode. The semi-automatic mode is usually used to process very badly formed piles, very small cutting volumes or very difficult materials. BASA is able to process grammages between approximately 60 g / m² and 300 g/m²
Unloaders
BAUMANN unloaders restack both single- and multiple cuts economically and highly precisely. The manual restacking of cut materials demands a lot of time and strength from the operator. BAUMANN unloaders automate the restacking process. The format setting has been automated. The cut materials can be restacked on one or on several pallets, either in the centre of the pallet or alternating. Numerous sensible options are available.
